Criminal Investigations

Investigations for the Waverly Police Department are conducted by Captain Larry Lescure.  While most of the crime in Waverly is handled at the patrol level, Captain Lescure stays very busy.  He will conduct the investigations that are too time consuming for patrol officers.  He will also investigate all serious crimes within the City of Waverly.  Captain Lescure also maintains the department evidence room and logs and handles Fire Department Operations.

Drug Investigations

Detective Tony Ahne is the narcotics investigator.  Ahne investigates narcotics related crimes full time.  in the past, Ahne split his time working patrol and narcotics cases.  Within the last two years Ahne has criminally charged over 150 people with drug sales in and around Waverly.  Drug enforcement is a priority for WPD, but Ahne has taken it to the next level.  If you have any drug information that you would like to pass on, please contact Detective Ahne or Crimestoppers.
